Estimated time of our arrival at the BT will be at 11:15PM of Sept. 30. Since we will be taking the bus to Genting at 7:00AM the following day, we are thinking of waiting it out until 5:00AM at the BT. Will the BT be fine? This will be my first time in the BT since the last time I was in Singapore (Sept. 2007), my husband and I flew on SIA and we landed in Changi. My trip this year will be with friends and on a budget airline.

I spent the night hanging around the budget terminal for a flight last year, it's fine. There's nothing to do there and no bar. There is a cafe at departures. Take a good book.
The Budget Terminal will be opened all night and you can hang around.
There are few seats where you can lie across for a nap. The Cafe is opened and pies and pastries are reasonably priced. When I was hanging around once, the maintenance crew came along and cleaned the floor around me while the electrician were changing light globes above. Quite a late night circus.
I flew into the budget terminal at odd hours several times, from Hanoi, Perth and Shenzhen.
On one occasion, I headed for Terminal 1, where there are lots of benches to lie down in the 'viewing gallery'. Across at Terminal 2, some fastfood outlets are opened 24/7, however the deli is closed at night. The staff cafeteria opens at between 5 to 6am. Grab a bite before heading off to Genting,

Penfold389, how did you get to Terminal 1? I know T1 and T2 are connected while the BT is a stand alone terminal. Will there be a bus to take us there? Tho' I'm pretty sure we want to sleep more than anything. Is there an airport shuttle from the BT to the bus terminal for Genting?
The BT is also at Changi. There is a bus shuttle to T2.
Which bus terminal are you departing from to Genting?
If you're taking a bus from Golden Mile Complex or Lavender Road, you can take first MRT train from T2 to Lavender Station.
Since you're more than a couple of people, taxis (aplenty at Changi) would be a better alternative.
Isn't there an airport shuttle bus? It will be cheaper than the taxi I'm sure. As I said we have a budget and some of my friends want to save on transportation. :)
We haven't decided on the bus to Genting yet. I've searched the net and I think Transtar and Greenland Express are the only buses that go from Singapore to Genting. I hope I am right. :)
We would like to take the first bus trip to Genting.
The Airport Shuttle charges $9.00 per person to the city area ($6.00 for a child). Alternatively, you can charter the 9-seater bus for $50.00 to anywhere in Singapore.
There are cheaper public buses going to the city, but the journey is longer.
Taxis (maximum 4 passengers to a cab) go by meter, and it should be about $20.00 going into the city.
The MRT cost less than $2.00 to the furthest station, and it is the best option (in price) going into the city, especially if you take the first train and avoid the morning going-to-work crowds, and therefore, will have a lot more space for your baggages.
To charter the 9-seater bus is a good idea but guess what? there are 13 of us. ; ) I'll tell them about the airport shuttle and the MRT. What time is the first MRT from the airport to Golden Mile Complex? Thanks!
#3, there is a free bus service between T2 and BT. Runs all day and night.
The sky train between T1 and T2 stops at night but you can walk between T1 and T2.
The first MRT from T2 leaves at 05:45.
Hey, IF there are 13 in your party everything is cheaper (per person) and easier. Just hire the whole Airport Minivan Shuttle plus a taxi.
My problem is a party of one or two.
Airport Shuttles hate to run with so few people.
The last time I left Changi earlier than expected was by being nice and smiling alot.....thus getting a lift from a fellow passengers who happen to live in Singapore!
