Hi,

Does any one know a good hostel/hotel close to the new Singapore Woodlands railway station (near the causeway to Malaysia)?

And that is not the old downtown railway station, so do not come up with any downtown hostels.

find one near an mrt , and mabe take a bus/cab to the railway . the distance shouldnt be that far . tho its not a hostel , since its away from the city center .. but its relatively good . :D

Someone on this forum had recommended Hostel One66 near Marsiling MRT station, a 15-20 minutes walk away (a very short bus ride away) from the KTM train station.

I've stayed at Hostel 166, which is run by possibly the most helpful chap in Singapore. Be aware that the dorm is also the living room, so you might want to book the double.

basic but clean and with all sorts of useful and quirky touches. Email the hostel and let him know when you are arriving - he was waiting for us when we arrived at midnight to help us find the place, it doesn't get more helpful!
