Hi,

I wonder if anyone could help pls with my dilemma whether to stay in Marina Bay or Clarke Quay. We will be staying for 3 nights in Singapore during our honeymoon and am not sure where is best stay. We would like to be located within walking distance to restaurants but also where you could go for a stroll at night. If there are some shopping malls in the area it would be a plus.

Our plan is to go sightseeing in the morning, then some shopping in afternoon and walk around at night in the vicinity of the hotel.

Suggestions for a good hotel around 150 Euro are welcome.

Thanks

I am an expat working in singapore and have been here for about a year now. I would recommend staying in Clarke Quay.

Hotels to consider would be Park Hotel in Clarke Quay, M Studio and Gallery Hotel.

It is by the Singapore River, lots of eateries. Short distance walk to Somerset which is about 1 MRT stop away from Orchard for shopping.

I tend not to put my friends at Marina Bay Sands area, unless they are specific that their aim is to gamble in town.

Hotel 1929. Think you would enjoy the Kampong Glam area at night.

#2 - Hotel 1929 is in the Chinatown area and not in the Kampong Glam area.

Marina Mandarin, Oriental, Pan Pacific, Conrad and Ritz Carlton are also in the Marina Square area, with two big malls in Marina Square and Suntec City and plenty of eateries to choose from.

Close to the Singapore Flyer, F1 Pitstop building, Singapore River and Marina Bay Sands as well.

Marina bay sands. The infinity pool at the top floor has a view to die for ! Overall, it would be an amazing experience to stay here.
