We stayed at this wonderful and quiet place last year and wanted to do so again this year only we just found out that the building was sold and they had to close the doors to the business.
Is there a similar small/cozy hostel in Chinatown ?

After hours of reading the reviews, I am becoming desperate and will broaden the question - is there a small, quiet hostel in the price range around S$ 60 per night ?

I know that there are hostels and guesthouses. There is even a YMCA that was very nice, well that was in 2001, but they seemed to be going strong. Perhaps it is not in Chinatown but was good an in the city. Also I believe that Hosteling International has more than one in Singapore and the last time I was looking at their site at least one of them was on Sentosa. I have checked for hostels in other cities here on LP, but it will not list everything, like I think it did not include the HI chain.
