My flight to Manila was cancelled because of APEC. I bought the ticket from Tripstar. They didn't notify me on cancellation. Neither did the air line, China Southern. I found out the cancelation only at Dubai airport in check-in. Now I am trying to get either part to cover the cost of accommodation in Dubai. Both deny responsibility.

Another problem is Air Asia. I have not been able to re-book the cancelled flight. Call center is busy, live chat is even busier. Is there any other chance? Do I…

Hello!

In February, I'm going to the Philippines, landing in Cebu, and will be staying for about 4 weeks.
I planned on staying in the Visayas but I hesitate between 2 options.

My boyfriend and like to dive, hike and enjoy the beach.
We appreciate to spend enough time in each place to get a sense of the lifestyle and don't want to be rush trying to do too much, which is challenging since there's so many things to see!

Option 1:
- Cebu - 3 days
- Moalboal - 5-7 days
- Oslob 1-2 days
- Dumagete - 2-3…

Initially my trip in December was to be on a bicycle but due to circumstances i cannot do that now. All is not lost however as i am still going....i mention this so you dont think i am just asking random questions.

kookoosnest

I will be going to stay at the Kookoosnest near Dumaguette soon. Has anybody been there recently? Any comments ?
What is the best way to go there from Cebu? I was told to take the bus to Liloan, but can not find any bus schedule. Are there regular rides..... the ferry from Liloan to sibulan seems to run every hour ( are they safe? ) How to get from Sinulan to the Kookkosnest ?

Any help or recommendation very appreciated.

Thank you guys. Viktor

Hello everyone!

I am considering a trip in January combining Ati-Atihan with a trip to Palawan. I have only been to Cebu in the PI.
As usual, the slow state of transportation in the PI weighs on my mind. I want to be as time efficient as possible.

On Palawan, instead of relying on the buses and shuttles, I am hoping to rent a car. Crawling through the forums, it seems that there is a new paved road going most of the way from PP to El Nido, with the last section being gravelled. Is this…

Hi everyone,
I'm hoping to get some feedback on my itinerary. My daughter and I are starting our year traveling through Asia with the Philippines and I've worked out a route that will work for us for around 40 days - I'd like to know if I've missed out any must sees that I should add. I'm mindful that there is only so much snorkelling a five year old can do (although she loves it)hence a reasonably tight loop. Also noting that we need rest/pool days along the way for her, but if we're spending…

Solo white female blonde hair.

Would it be safe to travel solo throughout the Philippines in January/February before the upcoming elections? I would stand out for sure, and have heard the recent bad news about foreigners / and the upcoming elections. What are the opinions out there ? Not interested in Manila or the south region..

Waterfalls

My partner and I have just arrived to Manila and traveling to Cebu tonight. We only have a three week visa so we want to make the most of our time. I have found many waterfalls near Cebu city (3 to 4 hour bus ride). Has anyone rented a scooter and drove there themselves?
And if anyone has been to any other great places we should not miss out on, please let us know

Thanks!
