Just stayed a few days in Samboan, South West Cebu. Lovely little town with nice local beaches, plenty of historic buildings and at least 7 waterfalls nearby. Some easy to reach, others a bit of a challenge. Plenty of places to stay all along the Coast from Samboan to Ginatilan to Alegria. Surprised to see how many young travellers are now opting to stay in this area, especially Alegria..

A few questions that I could do with some help with. I wan to get to Oslob from Panglao and back again in a day to see the whale sharks and want to avoid going to Cebu and getting the long bus ride. So I was hoping to do a bit of motorbike/scooter riding and a few ferry trips and have come up with:

Ride to Tagbiliran
Tagbiliran to Dumaguette ferry
Ride to Sibulan
Sibulan to Liloan ferry
Ride to Oslob
See the whale sharks
And go back

Hi there !

I want to attend Pahiyas Festival in Lucban next May 15th.

It seems that it is almost impossible to book a hotel in Lucban, so my options are:

a) Stay in Manila and have an early start and a late return.
b) stay in Lucena City 14th and 15th, as the jeepney Lucena to Lucban it only takes 1 hour tops. Also, booking a hotel in Lucena is much easier.

Any thoughts about that?

My wife and I are interested in going on an Old Manila Walks tour of Intramuros on Friday, March 4 but we only have two people. For a tour of Intramuros with an added food walk of Binondo / Chinatown it's a bit over 10,000 PHP. This will accomodate up to six people, and we have two. I know I have posted about this in the past, but was in the Dumaguete Immigration Office again today and absolute lunacy. The staff try thier best but they just struggle to cope with the sheer numbers seeking extensions. Saw one poor elderly guy in a wheelchair who had no chance of even getting inside the Office, just turned his wheelchair around and left. We are going on honeymoon to the Philipines in August/September. We have 2 weeks & are hoping to spend the last week on Siargao. Ideally we would like to spend 4-5 days sailing or just travelling from island to island out to Siargao from Cebu & wondering if this route is possible. Have looked at tours but they all seem to be day tours returning to Cebu, ideally we just want to travel one way & then fly back to cebu after our stay on Siargao.
