Hi all, we plan to travel one month from 7 december - 4 januari with our 2 kids (4&5 years old). Husband is an experienced windsurfer, mama likes yoga etc. and kids like a swimmingpool and white sandy safe beach to swim. Lay-back style, lots of unspoiled nature, and fresh fruit shakes. Were should we go? Thanks a lot for any suggestions! Anne

Im going to suggest Bantayan in Cebu, nice beaches, great for kids, not overly developed, nice beach resorts and even windsurfing, but and heres the big but, only windsurfing when the wind is up..
The other obvious choice would be Boracay or one of the beach resorts just South of Caticlan nearby..

There are heaps! But for the most part is the visayas region. Cebu, bohol has very nice relaxed atmosphere, siquijor has still the quiteness and stillness of an island life, and arrange for dolphin watching and sand bar experience . in malapascua which is at the tip of cebu island its all about snorkeling and diving . Just take a pick which island you want to stay. Have a good look which accommodation can cater to your needs!

Siquijor is a very nice Island been there many times, but I dont believe I have ever seen windsurfing there? might be wrong of course. Probably the most reliable option would be Bulabog on Boracay, pretty sure they have yoga classes there also..

I do agree.. If you want the mayhem then boracay would be the most probable choice. They have the facilities and activities. Siquijor is more of layback. Not sure about yoga.

Boracays not my favourite place either, think it may a choice between somewhere you can windsurf or just go somewhere relaxed and quiet. Siquijor has some wonderful little relaxed beach resorts with swimming pools like Coral Cay..

So true. Boracay isn't my favorite place too. I like the mixture of adventure and tranquility.

normally for kids I recommend Camiguin as there is a lot there to fire their imaginations. Hot Springs. Volcano. Coral and Clam Reserve. Many fresh water swimholes. Waterfalls. Sunken Cemetery where you can take the funny picture.
it is a bit short of white sandy beaches though it does have Mantigue island, that involves a boat ride.
the Paras Beach Resort http://www.parasbeachresort.com/ is a bit expensive but the children would like it. It has swimming pools but as Camiguin is a volcanic island the beach is black sand. There is white sandbar out to sea though, called White Island that they would enjoy going to on a boat.
there are other less expensive options to Paras not far away that have pools too.
not sure about the windsurfing on Camiguin, although there are times when there is a swell up I can't remember seeing anyone doing it there. I see Paras's website makes no mention of it.
