Hi Guys , off to Philippines in November again this year and am trying to put together a plan .I am visiting Palawan to visit friends from 15th November to 1st December but am looking for recommendations from the regulars that on are here for a place or places to go from then until 14th December. Previously I have visited Cebu ,Dumaguete , Siquijor, Bohol, Camotes, Bantayan and Malapascua and enjoyed all of them but this time I am looking to fly somewhere else from Manila. Likes are beaches , sightseeing , and generally getting a feel for the islands, we are budget travellers .Any suggestions would go down a storm, cheers.
Just beat me too it Surfboy.
Fly from PP to Cebu then onto Camiguin.
Siargao is also a cool spot. Maybe take in some surfing lesson there.

Might have to route via Cebu, but what about Siargao or Camiguin..
That's an idea but thought Siargao would be too small for that length of time , don't know anything about Camiguin, could we spend nearly 2 weeks there?

Camiguin is packed with things to do and see, so yes two weeks there would be OK. Or take the ferry over to CDO and spend few days there. You could even explore the idea of doing both Camiguin and Siargao..

Thanks Surfboy, have looked up flights from Manila to CDO so would probably fly into there and return from there . I take it CDO maybe worth a day or two ?
And as you say we can always fit this in with a trip to Siargao if we got bored of Camiguin. Have you been there and can we find budget accommodation up to 800 pesos?

Yes been to both Camiguin and Siargao and didnt have much problem finding places under 800 peso but that was few years ago. CDO is worth a couple of days..
I would recommend flying from Cebu to Camiguin then onto Cagayan and fly on from there. That way you will not be back tracking
As for accomadation there are lots of budget places in Mambajo. I like Camiguin Action Geckos and dive resort. Think it cost about 900 peso.
