Hi We are spending a week on Siargao, then going to Dinigat Islands. After that we were thinking of heading back to Surigao & either heading toward Camiguin & Cagayan D Oro . Not much info in LP book of coast or islands off the east side? Any recommendations of adventures to be had, things to do? I've heard about some magical type rivers & lakes.
Also is there any good diving in this area?
Does anyone know re west season weather for early Feb & Siargao if this just means daily showers or nonstop drizzle?
I realize it's unpredictable, but just wondering what the norm is. From Siquijor we would observe thunderstorms over the general northwest Mindano area

Siargao Island is a tear drop shaped island, is one of the best kept secret beaches in the Philippines and the best place to surf in the continent located 800 kilometers southeast from the capital of the Philippines, Manila. . It is considered as the Surfing Capital of Asia and of the Philippines.have a look also at Carabao Island, Tablas Island, Romblon Island For local life and beaches Bongao, Tawi-tawi - Cultural life
So you are coming from Siargao going back to main Minadanao isalnd (to get to Cagayan de Oro)
One other route you might as well take would be to head back to Bucas Grande, Socorro. You could rent an outrigger to bring you from Siargao to Bucas Grande. There are lots of blogs about it, the lagoons, caves and stingless jellyfish.
After that you could again ride a different outrigger either going back to Siargao or to the main island Mindanao to continue to Cagayan de Oro. We had taken this route several years ago.
BTW, Camiguin is really nice too! tourism is very well established by the local government (less touts)
