I'm spending a few weeks in Manila, and will be taking a weekend trip later this month to Bohol, or to an island where I can have some nice beach and non-urban time (open to negotiating). I have enjoyed the time on my own in Manila, but think it might be nice to have company for the weekend away. Anyone interested? Or is anyone in Manila who might want to go out some evening? I'm a 30 year-old-woman, an academic, and pretty fun...I know most people don't usually put "academic" and "fun" as adjectives in the same sentence, but alas...

why you want to spent a few weeks in mnl, coz of work?
just go down south and you will meet many people who would love to talk to you or up north

oh and if you meant travelling this weekend, be aware that there is a typhoon coming in. well not really coming in but we will be feeling the effects.

Thankfully it didn't hit us. Boracay still took a bit of a battering though, with gale force winds. It's on it's way out now - see more weather info here.
