Ok,

I booked a flight to Kalebo via Manila arriving on December 30th. The plan was to stay in Boracay for 3-4 nights (I know its going to be crazy busy) however now it looks like my accommodation has fell through. Now I can't seem to find decent accommodation. Anyways, I wasn't too excited about Boracay during that period anyway.

So my question is, Is there anywhere near Kalebo that would be nice for new years or am I better off changing my flight and heading elsewhere. I Have about 3 weeks in the Philippines and was hoping to spend about 2 weeks on 2-3 different islands and then a few days up north in Luzon. I was contemplating Bantayan after Boracay, maybe thats good first stop? I am traveling with my GF and we are looking for somewhere to relax and meet people but not party the whole time.

Any advice is appreciated,

Cheers

well, ur already in kalibo, why not get that indescent accomodation in boracay as per ur 3 to 4 nights plan, and head somewhere else after that.,Theres no point staying in Kalibo for the new years eve or even regular day.Have u try checkin out hostelworld.com , they offer instant confirmations or bed availbility in boracay for a small fee.

Boracay is NEVER fully booked, dispite what the agents say. There are always touts at the airport and jetty waiting to show you rooms, so you could easily try that.

Bantayan is a good choice but you may also have trouble somewhere to stay there also so you will have to start looking now. the only email address I can give is kiwikottages@yahoo.com.ph or you can look at www.wowbantayan and you may find many others. Act now or you could end up staying in some city with no friends.
