Jam Transit in Buendia (Manila) buses go straight to the pier about every hour -

you will have difficulty getting to Roxas for 2 pm

From Puerto Galera you will need to take a jeepney to Capalan and a tricycle to the minivan terminal where the vans to Roxas leave from.
PG - Calapan is about 2 hours
Calapan - Roxas 4-5 hours
plus about 2 hours hanging around till the jeepney/van gets full.

You can overnight it in Roxas easy enough as the vans stop at the pier where there is a beach and quite a few guesthouses

There is an evening ferry but that would get you in too late

Is it possible to hire a car or minivan in puerto galera to make it to Roxas in time for the ferry? Price?

Calapan (pier) to Roxas is 2 hours by van.

Sure times of departure to Caticlan is 2AM and 10AM. During peak season, there are also 6AM and 12PM departures.

It's impossible to make the 12 noon/ 2PM( ?often canceled?) ferry unless you leave about BEFORE 4AM, I have driven this route maybe 8 times last year missed the noon ferry 3 times and found the 2PM ferry being either canceled or whatEVER so rented a room all day until the 8PM or 10PM ferry. I admire your energy but plan on encountering one of "Murphy's Laws" , "if anything can go wrong it will go wrong" Also you will not be going to Puerto Galera but CALAPAN where vans are waiting for the 2-1/2 hour+ ride to Roxas ( my record is 2 hours 15 minutes but it's taken as long as 2 hours 45 minutes due to construction and local 10 miles per hour tricycle traffic )

you dont have to wait for the FERRY to go to puerto galera from batangas pier

just hop on a big Banca , it is fun as hell and they leave all the time from the Pier
whats all this Ferry stuff, there are so many other boats leaving than those big ferrys, they sink all the time anyway and are often overloaded like the jeepneys
