Living in a new paradise every 3 months. I am looking for a place in the philippines who best matches the following criteria
Accommodation with a good price/quality. In both Bali and Phuket I rent a modern style apartment for 400 USD/month. No problem traveling in low season.
A small expat community: possibility to eat western food, meet some interesting travellers, possibility to rent a scooter, gym...
As good internet as possible, but I understand that is not always possible.
Near a nice Beach/nice weather.
In Phuket I stayed in Kamala, which is near busy patong, so perfect because it is nice and quiet and a lot cheaper. But still in the proximity of Patong, so if you want nightlife and shopping malls you are only a 10 min drive away.
Same goes for Canggu and Seminyak… Kinda the same relationship.
