hey. flying into manilla on my todd on 16th nov and am in phils for a month. prob gonna stay at friendlys backpackers for a few days. hopefully meet some people to travel with if not wheres a good backpacker haunt? im on a really tight budget so what i wanted to know was the price of internal flights. say from manila to palawan, palawan to cebu etc. i try not to set itinerarys when i travel and would rather just go with the flow but from what i hear any other form of travel is a bit of a mission so i might book these beforehand. also can motorbikes be hired out at a fairly cheap rate on palawan as i would love to take a week just riding around exploring. cheers for any help. paddy.

Hey there! there's a really good travel company called tao philippines (www.taophilippines.com) they do boat tours of all the Palawan islands and they're really flexible with dates etc. not sure if that's what you wanted but there's loads of detail on the website. Hope you have a great trip!

Firelady, stop promoting that place! It's very small and always fully booked. It looks like a rented apartment that was converted into a guest house! Chat with the owner?! Hah! We went there in December last year and the place was full. The owner (we were told later by one of the guests who went down with us) did not even care to glance at us! Maybe the owner prefers men?
