Wow, you guys. A hemisphere refers to dividing a globe or sphere into halves with arbitrary imaginary lines as original sailors and cartographers did. So, there is plausibly an Eastern Hemisphere.
To answer your question, I've been to Mindanao x 3; and I will be returning for a third Mindanao trip next month! I'd say parts of Mindanao have less infrastructure than places like Cebu, or Bohol. So yeah, places like parts of Mindanao and Palawan have less infrastructure, less paved roads. Mindanao has mountains; mountains + heavy rain = mudlslide, just like in California where I live or any place in the world that combo happens. But, the reason I mentioned the mudslide in my original reply was because friends of mine who live there gave me there first hand account of it. By the way, I seen Bohol before and after the earthquake, and I seen where a huge cliff fell away into one of my favorite swimming spots under a waterfall there. Scary. So mudslides, earthquakes, and falling rock do happen in PI. But, like I said, I wouldn't let make that cancel his trip. So stop trolling me you jerk. I've been to the Philippines 10 x over a decade. Many of my Filippino friends tell me I've seen more of their country than they have. Take my advice or leave it. No reason to be a troll. Peace out.

Name calling doesn't make your post right. .. Mountains are everywhere not only mindanao. Your postings about mindanao are generalization and can be summarized as all bull and speculation. Im not a foreigner. I was born and raised in CDO. Youve been to mindanao 3x and you see all of mindanao is flooding and mudslide? For goodness sake mindanao is many times bigger than cebu and bohol combined. Cant really fathom some postings that are speculation and generalization.

Well, since I'm not the only poster on this thread who has questioned your intelligence (see link about Hemispheres) I don't think I need to continue a conversation with a troll like you. Good luck in your life. Ciao.

Bisayadako, here's some nice pics of major flooding and mudslides in your island of Mindanao. If you live there then how come you don't know about this stuff? And why are you lying to other users saying that flooding and mudslides are not possible in Mindanao? http://economictimes.indiatimes.com/slideshows/nation-world/tropical-storm-seniang-hits-mindanao-philippines/house-buried-in-a-mudslide/slideshow/45702779.cms
