I know you don't like using telephones, but why don't you get someone to try the 4 landline numbers listed on the Townhouse's webpage. Here they are : 833-1939, 833-3923, 854-1435, 854-1436. None of those numbers, which previously did work and which I had used to make reservations for years, now work. I was thinking of going across town to stay at the Townhouse for one night in November, but because I couldn't get through to their landlines the way I could before, I thought they might have closed and I decided to pass on it. I hope they haven't closed. But If they have closed, then it wouldn't surprise me. The place had got really rundown the last time I did stay there.

I actually met Bill for a few beers many , many years ago. I didn't stay at Townhouse as I was staying at the old Iseya Hotel.
Bill was a very friendly guy who enjoyed living in the Philippines.
Over the years I read various review/reports that suggested that the Manila place went down in service etc whenever Bill was not present, which, when he opened in Boracay was quite a lot.
I don't know if these comments had any truth, as I said, I have not stayed at Townhouse, but have met Bill who came across as an agreeable guy...
