Hello, Can anyone recommend a good place to stay in Palawan for a honeymoon. Preferable near the beach and not ridiculously expensive. And does anyone know of any good, trustworthy web sites to book accomodation through in the Philippines. Thank you very much for any replies.

Very much depends on the level of luxury you require, and what activities if any, you would like during the day.
There are some good resorts scattered throughout northern Palawan, that are right on the beach, with good snorkelling scuba-diving, Island hopping etc, downside is very little nightlife, and often the electricity is not 24 hours, But hey, if you're only paying USD 20 per night for comfortable accommodation and you're on your honeymoon ..........

Not so many reliable booking agencies for Palawan, better book direct, especially during busy periods.
if you can be a little bit more specific I will try point you to some relevant web sites.

Thanks Sansai, The level of luxury we would like would be resorts that are clean, but we are not yuppies that demand the absolute best. Otherwise, nice little places near the sand would also be good. Thanks so much for replying. Take care - Elementt

Maybe Dolarog Resort near El Nido would suit your needs Dolrog resort, major downside is its out-of-town and therefore a little way away from alternative restaurants and bars .

or Summer Homes Resort, Port Barton. Summer Homes Resort Port Barton is a smaller more remote village, but still offers some alternative restaurants and plenty of snorkelling, Island hopping etc.

Both are small friendly resorts and can be booked directly online.

Port Barton is really nice and there are a few choices of accommodation all very reasonably priced. We splurged majorly at CLub Noah (it was our honeymoon) but there are a lot of cheaper places in El Nido - ultimately if you are used to budget backpacking i found the views far outr web pa weigh any basic room conditions. Spend the money on the seafood instead! Our blog on Philippines provides details of the hotels we stayed in, web pages we used and travel agents we booked with.
