After much thinking, I have finally decided to visit the Philippines. I was thinking of Sri Lanka before but the feedbacks i got on diving there are not so enthusiastics. I think diving in the Philippines will be much better. I will reach there probably from Malaysia or Singapore early January 08. I will have 14 days. Better to land in Manilla or Cebu ? I want to visit both places but also Boracay. It will be tight but I wanna do it ! So any tips from you who did it these routes will be most welcome. Guest houses recommendations also ...

In your planning, keep in mind that the diving around Boracay is not as good as other parts of the PH. Enjoy Boracay for the things it has to offer -- beautiful beach, social scene, parties, food -- but don't bother with the diving there. More knowledgeable members can inform you about diving around Cebu. There is good diving around Bohol too.

Land in Cebu if i were you. plenty of good dive sites in Cebu like Moalboal. from Cebu you can take the fastcraft to Bohol. Lots of spectacular diving sites here as well. i agree with #1...Boracay is actually a party place. you can fly from Cebu to Kalibo or Caticlan to go to Boracay. Have fun in my country.

land in Cebu - go to moalboal to dumaguete to cebu to boracay to manila -
or - moalboal to dumaguete to manila to boracay back to cebu
...but its a big hassle to try and cram that all into a 2 week trip
if you mainly want to dive, it would be better to add siquijor and bohol and forget boracay and manila
if you mainly want to party and crash on the beach, , fly to manila then go straight to boracay and be satisfied with the diving in boracay
