Designing my itinerary!

Hi there!!!

I am on the early stages of my next year's trip planning... I'll start in late-january or february and will spend 3-4months. My first stop will be India for one month and a half, and I'll be there with my boyfriend. However he can't get more time off from his job, so I'll carry on on my own.
Problem is I can't make up my mind on where to go next... My options are Myanmar, Malaysia, Laos, Indonesia, Sri Lanka and the Philippines. However with 1.5-2 months time I don't want to be rushing from one place to another, but to get a sense of the place! So I guess two of these countries would be more than enough... yeah, but which ones???

My main interests are diving (though never 100% diving holidays), culture, nature, getting to know locals and languages, but I guess all these things can be found in all the countries listed (except diving in Laos indeed, but not sure whether good diving is available in SL)...

So... any recommendations, ideas, input... WELCOME!!!! :)
