Is anyone else interested in experiencing the Holy Week events in and around Manila? I am particularly interested in going to the Crucifixion Ceremony in San Fernando in Pampanga province on Good Friday (March 25th), but I really don't want to go by myself. I would love any advice as to how to best get there and back from Downtown Manila.

I am a 46 year old American man with a great sense of adventure. I have been to about 80 countries so far, but this is my first time in The Philippines.

I've been to San Fernando numerous times although never to the crucifixion. Either head to Cubao in Quezon City to catch a bus or the Victory Liner Terminal in Pasay - whichever is nearest - but make sure you ask the driver if a bus heading north to Baguio/Olongapo/Iba etc stops at San Fernando as some bypass it. Cost is about P170.
