I will have a short vacation in Cebu in this October but just 3 days. I will stay in Mactan Island.

What are suggested must DO in these 3 days. I would like going snorkeling and diving (but I don't have license). What can I do then and where can i join the activities?

I would like to go to Spa, any suggestions?

Any good restaurants are must GO and any bars are recommendated?

Too tough & rush to Cebu for just 3 days but I don't have any holiday left.

You can probably do a "fun dive" at Scotty's located on the Mactan (Cebu)island's Shangri-La hotel grounds, and there are probably less expensive ones. Snorkeling's only ok at Mactan's house reef, but if you really want to jump around, you can go up to Moal boal.

Remember, you can't fly and dive too closely together without risking the bends, so plan accordingly.

Where are you staying in Mactan? Are you staying in one of the 5-star resorts (Shangri-la, Plantation Bay, and Hilton)? If you are then you can always arrange with the hotel the snorkeling – you do not need a license for this.

As for spa, the 3 resorts have excellent spa, so stick with them. If you want cheap spa, just massage and perhaps a body and facial treatment then head down to the city, in the uptown area (where Fuente Osmena Circle is). There are so many cheap choices there.

One thing you need to understand though, if you want to move around in Mactan, you would need to be dependent on taxis. Public commute is not the best thing there.

There’s a casino too in the island, right across the airport if you fancy going there.

As for bars, you would need to head down to the city, but they are mostly open and full of activity only during weekends (Friday and Saturday). The only interesting place and easily accessible that’s open all throughout the week with a live band is Ratsky Bar in Ayala Mall.

On top of my mind, I don’t have the names of the bars and clubs (Crossroads in Banilad ring a bell though), so let me know if you plan to go the city on a Friday and Saturday and I will check with friends.

Thanks very much, VibrationPositive and MissT2K.

I will stay at Shangri-La but only from Wed to Fri (depart on Fri around 7pm) so as I don't think I can enjoy the nightlife during weekend.

How much for having spa in hotels and outside?

Any restaurants are you recommended?
