Hi all we are flying into Manila on the 25th and out on the 2nd, has anyone got any suggestions of which island to head to?
Because we are only there for 9 days, i don't want to be moving around too much, Just Manila then to one main island.
I see that a lot of people in this forum say palawan is better than Borocay?
We just want to be able to do some snorkeling, hang out on beautiful beaches and party. What is the night life like on Palawan? Were not looking for sleepy resort beaches but at the same were not interested in the girlie bar night life (we are 4girls) . Is Borocay the only place to find this kind of atmosphere?
What are the overnight ferries like and how much do they cost approx?
Also can anyone suggest a good place for us to stay at in Manila and go to on xmas day for traditional festive lunch?

Hi Rose,
If you are looking for a new year's party, Boracay it is. Palawan would be better for snorkeling. So it depends which is your priority but either way, you will have a great time as both have great beaches.
A good hotel in Manila would be Shangri-la Hotel plus they have a superb buffet in their in-house restaurant called Circles. If you want a local buffet, just head to Saisaki/Kamayan restaurant in Glorietta 3. Although not sure if the area was affected by the explosion in Glorietta 2. By the way, Christmas is usually celebrated on the eve so if you know anybody in Manila personally, you might try getting invited to their homes. That's where you'll get the best of the Christmas spirit.=)
