I plan to go and visit Palawan and I would like to take a boat from Sabang to El Nido (learnt it exist from LP). Does anyone travelled, is it safe, do you know the schedule by any chance ?

Thank you,

Depends on the season of year of your visit.

from January until the end of March there is normally a regular schedule from Sabang sea ferries.
Monday, Wednesday, and Friday Sabang - Port Barton - El Nido and return the next day. last year the fare was something like P800 for Sabang to Port Barton (2 1/2 hours ) andP1,200 Port Barton to El Nido ( approx 4 1/2 hours ) Its is a wooden out rigger ferryboat accommodating a maximum of about 15 persons.

Alternatively you can hire a private boat from Sabang to take you direct to El Nido for around P7,000 although the price may increase this year due to the increased cost of gasoline.

There are occasional days in January when the boats cannot operate due to a very strong northeast monsoon wind and high waves.
