Hi All,

I have asked this question before but don't get any definite answer from the forum or guide books. Here I try again.

I intend to trek Banaue and batad and seeing the paddy fields is my main reason for doing so.

Do you know if there is any season ? Which time of the year is most beautifu. I mean in bright green when well grown.
I hate to see plouging time, watery or near harvest time.

Will there be any significant difference for Feb and June ?

I msy go in Feb but if that is not in a time what I wish to see, I may go a different place and leave Baguio and Banaue for June.

Thanks

Hi there,

I went in June this year and the weather was perfect and the fields green. Take as little as possible - the walk to Batad is hard - my advice - ask one of the locals (and pay them) take you out the longer route (it is flat). Leave any excess luggage in Banaue.

Enjoy!

February - June. Late June, July is normally the harvest time if the weather has been cooperating

#1, How much time is needed to spend in Banaue and Batad to see the rice fields ? How long will the walk(Banaue to Batad) takes ? Which is the better place to overnight ?

77, I read in the guidebook that July is the harvest time and #1 mentioned June field is green. So how will the fields in Febraury be ? Is it planting time or similar in scene to June ?

It should be green by February. Rice talks wouldn't be tall yet but it should be very green.
