I was there last April and it was very green. Planting time is around Dec-Jan.

MY trip planned for early Feb so it may not be very green since not fully grown.

Any advice you can give or recommend for the other places if I dont go north of Manila ?

You could skip Puerto Galera unless you are diving.

Tagaytay and that sort of quick trips from Manila I guess since you have limited days. Snorkelling is nice in Puerto Galera.

Thanks #12 & #13,

How much time do I need minimum in Tagaytay(Is it for Taal Lake/Volcano) ? Can I make a day trip for a few hours and continue my journey down to Puerto Galera ?

I actually dont swim or snorkell. I will only stay above the water and enjoy the landscape or seascape. Is it still worth the trip to PG or Boracay ?

Well if you are going to Boracay, then I guess you can skip Puerto Galera. Still if you want to see both, no one is stopping you. Yes you only need a couple hours to see Taal then on to PG. From PG, you can go to Boracay via Calapan -> Roxas-> Caticlan (by sea and land).

If you are not snorkeling or diving it's probably not worth doing both. Boracay has better beaches and a friendly (less sleazy) nightlife scene.

^^You are talking about Sabang and to some extent, White Beach. On the Aninuan side and that stretch, it is quiet and where the backpackers hang out. Still, I'd choose Boracay over it.

How about El Nido compared to Puerto Galera ?

No question El Nido. The beaches (on the islands not the town proper) in El Nido are one of the best.
