Has any one been to the Sugbutel Bed and Bath in Cebu city ?.
if you book 30 days before you stay the price is just p99 a night.
it is just down the road from the Sm mall and the New Robinsons mall.
and in Bacolod City the New Sweet City Captel Backpackers Hostel is Just p100 a night.

Right, that's a dorm bed if you pay 30 days in advance. Private rooms start at 1350 php. They have the pictures on their website.

Last time I tried Capitol Tourist Inn near Fuente Osmena and it was an absolute cockroach infested hellhole. I've never seen such filth and disgusting conditions as that hotel. They didn't even bother to put a mosquito net on the window. Absolutely nightmare and I couldn't stand it so went across the street to Verbena, which was really nice but very small rooms for 1000, which was over my budget.

mmmm... all i will say is you get what you pay for......
Especially in the philippines!!

And sometimes what you get for the same price is very different depending on where you are. For example I have stayed in the most basic Bamboo Hut with just a fan and nothing else for 500 peso. For the same price I have stayed in a huge room with aircon, cable TV, Hot Water CR, wifi, balcony etc..
