We are meant to do a round trip (with a guide) to Philippines. Please need help !
My trip should be:
- Cebu (visit of old city center)
- Bohol (chocolate hills, river Loboc and Tontonan falls)
- Sumilon (beach)
- Negros (Dumaguete, Tanon detroit for the delphins and baleinas, National park Twin Lakes, Bais)
- Siquijor Island (beach and diving in San Juan)
- Cebu (shopping)
What do you think about this programm for 2 weeks ?
Where is best to go and find wonderful and quiet beaches ?
What about Puerto Galera as a place for relaxing and diving ?

I would stick to the central visayas as you are traveling in and out of Cebu. Don't bother with Puerto Galera it's not convenient to get to from there and probably not as good. For diving you could try Moalboal.

Hi,
It's a tough schedule for only 2 weeks and maybe you can't see all of them about the transportation days.
In case I can recommend you Panay Island, special the part North Antique, Pandan Bay area, where you will find also some of fantastic natural sites.
They are not as well popular but a treasure to see.
A wonderful and quit beach with golden sand is in Tingib, Duyong - Pandan, a real natural rainforest with a p[rotected area, as well in Sebaste you have an amazing waterfall Igpasungaw Falls, perfect snorkel islands like Mararison and for diving you go a couple of days to Boracay.

#3 - I never said Puerto Galera wasn't good for diving, what I was saying is there are probably better destinations in the central visayas.. eg Moalboal, and as the OP is flying in and out of Cebu it makes much more sense to stay in that area. No sense wasting time going to Puerto Galera from there.

Hello... Swissgirl.
If you're into diving, there's a little place called SIPALAY in the southern part of Negros island (on the other side of Dumaguete/ Apo Island) where the only dive shop is operated by a Swiss friend of mine, Arthur.
Schweizerin sprechen auch Deutsch, nicht war?... sprechen Sie auch Deutsch? (Entschuldigen, aber meine Deutsch is sehr schlect.. ich bin ein Filipiner, in dem Philippinen geboren..) Ich war dort in SIPALAY seit funf Jahren vor, und ich hab dass Platz schoenen finden.... vielleicht dass beste in ganzen Philippinen...

It's a doable albeit busy schedule for two weeks.
But forget about squezing in Puerto Galera as well, too far away to be included in this trip with this time frame.
Coral Cay was very enjoyable on Siquijor and on a nice stretch of beach facing the sunset. Pic of one of their bungalows along the beach in here..

Bear in mind that december will be busy (lots of tourists and locals on holiday). Some places ( Coral Cay and 2 other places next to it only have about 6 rooms each and can often be fully booked (as 2 of them were when I visited last August, which is off season)!
For Sipalay, do a search on google and you will find details of several resorts...I think they offer diving trips as well.
