Hi,

I'm planning to head to South East Asia for almost 3 weeks from the 29th December to the 17th January. I'll be spending New Year's Eeve with a friend in Thailand, then i'm planning to visit Krabi and the nearby islands, and make my way down the western coast of Malaysia.

With my current itinerary I have 3 full days (not including flights) in Borneo. I'm interested in trekking, seeing some of the jungle and Gunung Mulu looks fantastic. Obviously i'd love to see the orang-utans too. Are…

Hi there,

We are travelling since 8 months and going to be on a stop over in KL next week. I would like to stock up my travel wardrobe a bit before entering a few more 'conservative countries' e.g. Indonesia, Sri Lanka... I was wondering were in KL (Bukit Bintang area) can I find skirts (cover the knees) or light linen/cotton trousers? I have been several times to KL but only remember shop like Zara, H&M etc and they might do not offer this clothes currently.
Any advice?

Thanks
Tinka

Hey, don't see much recent activity on this. Was going to stay at Uncle Changes but trip advisor reviews are really bad. Scuba Junkies seems the best but you have to stay longer & dive more than what we are able to do, so thats out. Anyone have anything good to say about other budget alternatives. Kind of shocked how overpriced everything is, but safety & equipment that works is our main concern. thanks!

Hey guys,

Would love to hear your opinion on this 24-days itinerary, especially in relation to the 18 days I am spending in Malaysia. It seems like there is so much to see and do in Malaysia, so I am having a hard time deciding on where to go. I like to mix some nature, big cities, interesting sights and beaches. So a little bit of everything.

The plan is to fly between each city.

Kuala Lumpur - 3 days
Langkawi - 5 days
Penang - 3 days
Singapore - 3 days
Krabi (Thailand) - 6 days
Kuala…

Headed into Kuala Lumpur for 5 days. Does anyone know whether it's easy to pick up a SIM card from the airport, or anywhere else, how much it'll cost, which is a good service provider, what's the paperwork/ procedure?

Can anyone give me some feedback on the Sun Way Lagoon fun park in KL? We will have a day to kill whilst waiting for our 9:25pm plane back home and want to tire the kids out. We will be getting a bus from KLIA2 as we are staying overnight at the Tune Hotel there. I hear that it takes about an hour to get there from there depending on traffic.
There are quite a few different atttractions there and am wondering whether it is too much to try and take the kids through them all - or can we do that…
