Ok, I'll be coming from Langkawi to Kuala Lumpur with Airasia, arriving at 12:45, and I have to catch another flight, this time with Malaysia Airlines to Johor Baru at 14:30. I understand I must change terminal.
Is it possible to do this? Or am I most likely to loose the flight?

Thanks

Hey,

I am hoping to include Borneo and/or Malaysia in a RTW trip next year. Wanted to do some volunteering work at an Organutan sanctuary type thing. Have had a quick search on the net but can't really find much. The only ones I have found expect you to pay £1,000's. Obviously don't mind paying something to the charity/country but don't want to pay some UK based company for the privilege.

Anyway if anyone has done this type of volunteering or has heard about it any advice/recommendations would be…

Anyone know what time the bus leaves from Johor Baru to Mersing? Is it possible to go from Singapore to Mersing in one day without arriving at an unfriendly time of night? (Single, not young woman - not good at the late night bus station bit.)
thanks,
jo

Taman Negara

I' tryng to book Mutiara Taman Negara but it seems there are no possibility to have a chalet for 4 person in july. Only boongalow and they are really very expensive! Do you think I can organize everything in K.L. when I arrive or you suggest to book something else now? I'm a little bit worried becouse I travel with my "children" (11 and 16..)

We will be in Singapore and Malaysia throughout July this year and wanting some recommendations on places to stay with 2 children (4 and 8). We don't need anything too fancy but for the kids sake, air conditioning (in the really hot places) and a pool (where hot and not near a beach) would be good. OUr rough itinerary something like this:

Singapore
Taman NEgara (ie, is there anywhere to stay other than that Eco Lodge place and is there a road going into the park?)
Somewhere beachy on East coast…

Pulau Tioman

Hi,
We are visiting Malaysia in June and thinking of visiting Pulau Tioman island. Has anyone recently been to Mukut? I have heard this is quite secluded in a nature setting, which is what we are looking for. We are not divers but do like to snorkel.

Can anyone recommend somewhere to stay in Mukut? Or somewhere similar on Tioman?

Thanks

I heard that Cameronian Inn is a great place, but I've seen some negative remarks recently on online hostel feedbacks. Anyone has been there recently and is able to give me an updated view, rates...contact? Is it better to stay at Twin Pines or some other places nearby? We prefer to spend our budget on trekking and go easy on accommodation.

What is the most scenic route to Cameron highlands? From KL by bus or the train station butterworth?

Is it risky if we don't book in advance and head up to…

Is there a flight to Langkawi either from Krabi or Phuket? If not which is the safest and best way to reach it? How much would it cost and budget twin sharing private bathroom hotel in Langkawi? How much does a cable car cost per person to reach Mount Mat Cincang? And also we wish to visit underwater world?
Thanks in advance.

Hi LP people,

I am thinking of going to Borneo from 27th December to 4th January, but I've read it is going to be the wet season at that time, with January being the month for the highest rainfall. How wet is wet? Should I change my plans?

An alternative is to go to west coast Malaysia (pangkor) and possibly up to Ipoh, Cameron Highlands - love to hear your experiences in these places if you have been!

Thanks,
Sab.
