i am wanting to travel to borneo for my last 3 weeks of my travels. can anyone fill me in on what i shouldnt miss out on. wheres best to see orang utan's (heard there is a good place near Kuching??) and what are the best islands with amazing beaches for a bit of r and r?

I know this might sound a little stupid but I just want to double check.
Will all hostels/motels etc supply towels? Are they western-style or tiny Asian-style ones?
I'm going to Malaysia and then Thailand. So, will I need to bring my own towels? or should I just pack a beach towel?

Need some opinions on where to spend a bit of rest time! We're working our way through SE Asia and China and our time is quite limited. We want to spend a week to 10 days chilling for a while and can't decide upon the Perhentians or Ko Lanta and Krabi region. We've been to Krabi and Ao Nang about 4 years ago and loved it but don't know whether to sample somewhere new instead.

I am stopping over in malaysia for about 8 nights on my way to live in japan for a year, for the malaysian leg of the trip it will be myself and 5 friends who are all new to malaysia. We were thinking we would stop over in KL for a couple of nights atleast to partake in some shopping, so this if the first thing I'd like help with! Can anyone recommend a nice-ish place to stay (mid range) that isn't a guest house or dorm style accom, we're after more like hotel for KL for around the 250ringgit…

We will be visiting Langakawi and Kuala Lumpur. We have seen several posts ragarding budget hotels but without contact resource. We will be greatful if some one inform us about any website available or may be recommend us giving detail budget hotels at above mentiond place and also places not miss.

Need advice on travel, what is the easiest way to get to the Perentians? I was thinking of flying into BBK , Thailand and then taking an Air Asia flight to Penang or KL , any cheaper and easier routes I wanted to fly into BBK though.

Any suggestions on the resorts or huts, I would like to reserve and I have read it's difficult first come first served basis.
