Hello there,

My partner & I are off to Malaysia next week for only one week. We fly into KL and plan to spend a couple of days there.
So we will have about 4/5 days spare and are desparately trying to decide where to go.

As we are so short on time, I think it best not to travel too far from KL, a fews hours or so is fine, but probably not a whole day travelling.
We'd love to find somewhere chilled, with nice natural beauty and some nice things to do. The Cameron Highlands sounds quite appealing…

I have been reading all the posts on Sabah and taking note of all advise - cheers you guys, you really helped me out with my trip.
I just need a final kinda seal of approval or tit bits of advise from you guys....and also, how's the place for a single gal traveller..only place I seem to get bad vibes about is semporna, but hopefully wont be hanging around there too long anyhoo.
Here's my 12 day itinerary..which is ok but kinda falls apart at the end as none of the dive companies have…

I have a 27hr stopover in KL in late August. Will be arriving at 6 in the morning and leaving at 9 the next morning. Can anyone reccomend anything that you should experience in KL that will fit in with such a short time frame, and does anyone know what time the public transport starts up in the morning to get back out to the airport?

We are travelling to Malaysia from 30 August to 15 September (male and female). Staying in KL for 4 nights. 1. Does anyone know a reputable camera shop in KL to buy a Panasonic DMC TZ3 digital camera? 2. We are also travelling to Perhentians, Redang and then to Tioman and would like to stay in clean accommodation with good beaches. We would appreciate any advice or help you can give. Thanks

Hi there, In the LP "S.E. Asia on a shoestring" I read that camping was pemitted on many of the beaches in malaysia. Does anybody know if this is still true? ...or am I remembering what I read incorrectly?. Thanks, Dave

Hi, I have booked the travellers lodge through Lonely Planets haystack site for October and basicly a few weeks after I booked it I recieved an email from the hostel saying it will be closed when I have booked to go for refurbishments (a copy of this at the end of the message). I emailed Haystack to get clarification on this and they said they spoke to the hostel and its all ok and open, I then email the hostel myself to check and they have not replied so now I dont know what to do! Hey all,

We are flying into the LCCT airport... Is this the main international airport or is KL.

We are coming to KL in about 7 days and trying to stay in the gloden triangle.. tried the green hut lodge but booked out.

Had a good look through the serch function for places to stay, to thanks to all !!!!!

Anyway, If anyone could tell me the differecne between the airports and how much it will cost to get to the golden triangle.... How to get there would alos help !!!
