Hi guys... thinking of booking a holiday to Malaysia with maybe 4 days in KL and then 10 days on a beach! Dilema... love love love Thailand but want to try somewhere different, have been there a few times. We want somewhere with nightlife - just busy fun bars. But also somewhere that looks stunning! Would we be bored in Langkawi in the evenings... is Penang a better option?
;-) thanks a million
Hi all,
I will be in KL for the 50th Independence day celebrations on 30th and 31st. Does anyone know what the plan is?
All I know is there will be a shed loads of fireworks around the twin towers at midnight on 30th.
Are shops etc open on the 31st?? I was planning.....drinks near the towers til 11.30pm.....fireworks etc til about 1am then club (Beach club etc) til the early hours.
Will the clubs be open as usual? need tickets? what time close? is there a concert etc? Parade on the 31st??

I would like to take a bus from Melaka (Malacca), Malaysia to Singapore. Does anyone have experience with this?
Do you know how long it takes? This will be on a Saturday (1st September 2007). I would like to get to
the bus station in Singapore around mid-afternoon.
In fact, I will be going to the airport in Singapore. Is there a bus that would go to the airport?
Does anyone know what the various different bus companies?
How do I find a schedule that shows departure times and expected arrival…
Hi guys,
We are planning a trip to Sarawak in November 2007. We would like to visit Mulu National Park.
We were wondering what is the best way to get there? Any flights from Kota Kinabalu, Miri or Kuching?
Should we buy tickets in-advance from the UK or should we wait until arrival to Borneo?
Thanks

Hi,
Organizing a trip to Sabah, we were lucky to find accommodation on Mt. Kinabalu on the 2nd Sept. Still, we'd like to spend a couple of days in Semprona (Mabul).
Can someone help with information on any form of transportation between Semprona and Ranau?
How long does it take by bus/minivan?
Thanks

Hi
I'm going to Sabah in mid October, and I'm looking for a place to stay/dive.
The problem is, I've got a mate who joining me in Sabah; he's not a diver (or swimmer), and he's looking to just chill out and relax for the first couple of days before we move on.
What I'm looking for is a good base to dive from, with good accommodation, that is chilled out and preferably has a good beach.
I've had a look at previous posts, and most seem to favour Mabul, staying at somewhere like Uncle Chang's or Scuba…
Hi,
I'm planning a trip to Malaysia for September- no fixed ideas as yet, flying into KL most likely and either back out from there or Singapore. Current FCO advice about Eastern Sabah warns of kidnappings. Anyone been to Sabah recently? Any noticeable difficulties or feelings of "unease"?
Cheers!
