We are planning a train trip (on Australian passports) from Singapore to Bangkok. Can anyone who has done this trip confirm that no visa is needed for an Australian passport holder entering by land from Singapore?

Confirmed, but you'll only get 14 days in Thailand, as opposed to 28 days when you fly.

As long as you have a passport valid for 6 months. And in theory at least, a ticket out of Malaysia (though it is unlikely you will be asked for this) .....Anyway, if you are taking the train I guess you will have a ticket out...

You need a passport from one of the G7 countries to get 30 days in Thailand if you enter overland, it is only 14 days if, like Australia, it is not a G7 member.

Guys, its actually 15 days for those entitled to a visa exemption and aren't fromG7 countries.
