I will be flying through KLIA2 in December and will need to get hold of some USD, preferably without first having to withdraw ringgit as my card is in £ and I don't want to lose money on a double exchange rate. I recall seeing some ATMs on my previous travels in Asia, that would let you withdraw $ or £ or € though I can't remember which airport it was. Does anyone know if KLIA1 or 2 has ATMs like these or if there is a way to buy $ with a card at the airport? Thanks

If you cant get US$s from an ATM, you'd probably have to get any money converted to MYR then US$s at the currency exchanges. But I dont ever recall ATMs at the airports giving out US currency as they do in Cambodia.

It all depends on what bank card you are using. Mine allows me to withdraw cash with no fees and getting the interbank rate, i.e. no losses at all. Then I can exchange this into USD and have only one currency conversion loss.
But why exactly do you need USD in southeast Asia? To pay visa on arrival fees or for what other purpose?
Try the ATM at CIMB Exchange booth Level 2. I saw the USD, EURO, AUD & SGD sign above it when I pass the ATM this morning.

Update, in case anyone else is in a similar situation: There were indeed two ATMs at KLIA 2 airport that dispense foreign currencies (USD, Euro, GBP etc) however, my card didn't work with them! Not sure if it was because it's a traveler's card and not a bank card, but I had to do a double exchange rate in the end - withdraw in Ringgit then exchange to USD.
