Can anyone tell me if the trainservice between KK and Tenom is working at this moment? We will be there next week and I recently read something about works going on there.

The rail link from KK to Beaufort has all been removed, they are about to start replacing all the lines, I was there in April May and they are stock piling sleepers and rails along the line were they have removed the old lines.
You now have to go the Beaufort to catch the train to Tenom you can catch a bus from KK to Beaufort, what I have done 3 time is I rent a car drive to Beaufort load the car on the train and off load the car in Tenom and over night in Tenom then the next day drive back though the Crocker Range.
The train is a must do trip I have done it 4 times and every trip is fun, You can do it in a day but you get very little time to look around in Tenom. If the train is late leaving Beaufort then when it arrive in Tenom it just turns around and comes back.
