Hi all!

I need a bit help as my plans are constantly and rapidly changing due to unforeseen circumstances!

To the expert travellers of the Malayisan soils, at first glance you think it is feasible the following itinerary in 7-10 days?
To see a bit of KL (1 day top?), then head to tea plantation (guess the visit is done in one afternoon), then doing a trek in taman negara (maybe a 2 day trek) and rest couple days on Pulau Perhentian islands. Then taking plane back to KL.

I also don't know if there is some other gem/thing worth seeing on this itinerary which would take couple more days (tips are welcome of course!)

All this happening in early Jan.

thank you so much for your input!

Hi If you are planning to visit places near to kuala lumpur then 7-10 days is not worth while as country is not that big.
You can see and do tours in KL and near by places in 2-3 days and another 2 days for pulau perhantian island.
I would suggest you to book things in advance, if you want to save time and money. As I recently visited Malaysia I had booked things online and it was way cheaper and stress free.
I suggest do proper research and If you still have some confused do visit this website www.gotourister.com You can find all the tours and there price.
We had great experience with them.... Good Luck

#1, Do you have an interest in that company as you have promoted it in every post specifically mentioning tours even when the OP hasnt asked about doing one.

To avoid backtracking, choose a place on the way between the Cameron highlands and the Perhentian islands for the trekking. Either at the northern end of the Taman Negara park of the area around Dabong (Gunung Stong state park, Gua Ikan), which have some interesting trekking opportunities:

thank you for your input!

I actually discovered that the Perhentian islands are really "off-limit" in Jan due to bad weather, so I am re-rearranging my itinerary.

Will probably anyway go North till Kota Bharu to enjoy the Jungle train and then take a train back from there to KL.
gutted!

I missed the January thing. But then perhaps it's better if you stay on the west coast and do the beach for instance in Langkawi:

There is interesting jungle in the Ulu Muda reserve:

You could go there instead of Taman Negara.

thank you again!

indeed I was reading about the west coast, but I am not so thrilled about Langkawi, too developed I guess.
As I am travelling 3 months there is no absolute need to hit an island in Malayisa

Re: Ulu Muda, I was checking it already, together with Belum, as alternative of Taman Negara.
I am pending more for Ulu Muda (also because I found a very interesting eco-lodge thingy), but I also wouldn't like to miss out on the jungle train, which seemingly seems to offer staggering views north from Taman Negara!
