Raki_Man went to Taman Negara NP and thought it really hot and humid!

Cost 85 Rg for bus/boat travel from KL to the local village. The 3 hr boat ride was one of the best things I have ever done- speeding along in a longboat through the jungle. Booked thru Han Travel in KL.

Went on the tree-top swinging ropeway- scary but good.
Went for the walk to the viewpoint on a hilltop- never again! Ditto for walk in the dark to see the night-life. A couple of hours stumbling about in the dark in the hope of seeing some animals!
Went for boat ride to native village to see natives making fire with sticks and poison darts for use in blowpipes- interesting.

Never try to whistle with a mouth full of custard.

Yes,if you want to see wildlife in there (apart from mosquitoes and leeches;-) you need to get well into the park..there is not a lot to see around the entrance area!

Even well inside it won't be easy, as the animals will be spread over a large area. It's a matter of luck. Two girls I met in Dabong who went to Endau Rompin NP told me that the day they left, while they were driving back in the car, within minutes they saw a small tiger crossing a street and an elephant (with both animals quickly disappearing in the forest).
