Hi everyone,

I've got a flight Osaka -> KL -> Jakarta next week on Air Asia (one booking). Does anyone know if I can buy dutyfree liquids (I want to bring some sake) and take it through the security check at KLIA2? Or do they make you surrender liquids again? I've tried googling, but so far no luck in finding out.

Thanks!

It must be in sealed clear plastic. I carried alcohol from Perth->KLIA2->Medan is ok.

If your Air Asia flight is one booking then you'll be staying airside so won't have to pass through Security.

That sake needs to be packed correctly when you're carrying it in your cabin bag. It doesn't matter if you're on flythru or not. There'll be another security/xray check just before you board your plane to JKT. If its not packed correctly, you will lose it.

Thanks everyone! I know about the clear bag, but some airports don't let you bring even those, so I thought it was better to check.

Thanks again!

Hi,

I imagine you will have the liquid confiscated as you will go through security to board the gate (anything more than 100ml is usually taken).
But I suggest you double check and read the KLIA website.

Good Luck and Happy Travels
