We are climbing Mt. Kinabalu mid August? We are staying in Laban Rata Resthouse. Does anyone know whether it is necessary to carry a sleeping bag or is bed linen provided in Laban Rata Resthouse?

They have blankets and heating.

In fact the heating is an issue in that it was on full blast and everyone complained but they would not turn it off. It was actually quite mild outside as well, time of year was October if this helps.

The heater in my room had broken down.Thank god for it.It would've been stifiling. The bed was cosy & the blanket kept me warm.
You get to sleep for only 4-5hrs. dont worry you'll pass out.

stayed at Laban Rata in April 07, you do not need sleeping bag, the blanket was provided. We feared onverheated rooms as many poeple complained about it on this forum and it was not so in our room, it was pleasantly warm but not a sauna

We also overheated while we were there... just make sure you are in the main building though, as the others are not heated, and can get chilly. As long as you take your thermals you should be fine!
