I'll be landing (Air Asia) at KLIA2 at 2.20pm and got to catch a flight to Singapore (Air Asia) with 5pm departure. Got no fly-thru facilities available.
Plane landing, walking, immigration, baggage pick up, baggage drop, check in, boarding plane
2.30 hrs is it doable?

Assuming no delays, should be enough time - obviously better if you have just carry on.
On a very recent trip, coming into Malaysia at KLIA2 around mid-afternoon, it took me about 30 minutes for immigration & baggage collection all in. For the return trip to S'pore on the same flight as yours, it took me just over an hour, about 40 minutes queing for immigration only.

The OP doesn't mention where he/she is coming from. If from outside Malaysia and with AirAsia, the luggage will already have been checked through until Singapore and he/she will not have to go through passport control, thereby saving time.
If instead the OP arrives from within Malaysia to KLIA2, he/she will have to go through passport control and that will cost some time.
In any case, 2:40 hours should be plenty of time to change planes in KLIA2. There would only be a problem if the first flight was delayed.

I'll flying in KL from Mauritius, no connecting flight option available, thus I booked 2 point to point tickets. Mauritius to KL and back + KL to Singapore and back. I am planning to visit both Singapore and Malaysia during my trip.
Thus, i'll have to walk from plane to pass immigration, collect baggage, go to departure level, drop baggage and pass immigration again and board.
One of my friend just went to KL, it took him 1.30 hrs just to clear immigration one way, now if I have to do it twice, am afraid that even 3hrs won't be enough.

1:30 hours to go through passport control is a lot. Usually you need far less than that. I usually spend max. 10-20 minutes in the queue.
Bear in mind that you haven't factored in the possiblity of delays. I had a situation like this at the old KLCC airport three years ago. I can't remember the exact times but I was coming in on a Air Asia flight from Phnom Penh and then catching a flight to Penang. I think I had left about two hours between the flights. Unfortunately, I was delayed in Phnom Penh which meant that I got back late to KL. It then took around an hour to get through baggage and immigration etc which meant that I missed my next flight to Penang. When I went to the Air Asia desk to ask if they could book me on another flight as it was their flight that was delayed in Phnom Penh, they pointed out to me (not very politely) that it states in their terms and conditions that they are a point to point carrier and if you are booking two separate flights, you have to leave three hours in between your arrival and next departure. Consequently, I had to pay for a new flight to Penang the next morning and a hotel at KLCC for the night. KLIA2 is a lot more efficent that KLCC was but my advice to you is still to consider changing your flights times to leave a three hour gap.
