Malaysian Borneo - Kuching to Tawau - how long for an overland trip?

Just a ballpark figure - will take a few flights to do the major hops - I'm thinking about 3 weeks - is that pushing it or a decent guess? Thanks

Trying to get overland as fast as possible from Kuching to Tawau is a pretty brainless exercise. Would perhaps take 2-3 days of non-stop travel.

But perhaps you are asking another question, i.e. if having 3 weeks available you can get from Kuching to Tawau with stops in the more interesting places, spending some time in these places. And this is possible, even if you could also spend much longer than 3 weeks without running out of things to see.

Yes that's is what I'm asking - am planning to take 3 weeks to do that trip but didn't want to allocate 3 weeks if it was a 2 week max trip...

Three weeks is ok to conver a few of the highlights. You can also spend much more than that there. What do you want to see?
