Anyone have suggestions for 10 days in Malaysia ??
Traveling with bf, both in 30s and fit, looking for adventure but also a bit of culture and relaxing...both have done stuff on a shoestring, but are in a better financial situation now
Would very much appreciate any suggestions!!!

Lots of possibilities....the more 'adventurous' part of Malaysia IMHO would be some parts of Borneo.
Peninsular Malaysia has the culture (esp Chinese,and to some extent Malay)but Borneo has the jungle,the river trips,longhouses etc.....if you are interested in that kind of thing?

Be aware that from November to February it's monsoon season on penisnular Malaysia's east coast (and Sarawak). The west coast and Sabah are ok.
If you are looking for adventure consider going to Malaysian Borneo (Sarawak, Sabah), although also west Malaysia offers some possibilities.

i have been to monsoon seasons in vietnam and rainy season in central america before and it has been kind of refreshing actually,....but is it hard core in malaysia??

A bit hard to tell how the rainy season is. But if you go to the west coast or Sabah the weather will be ok.
10 days is 'enough' if you want to see one part of the country,and stop only in a few different places.
Where to fly into depends on which part you choose......most people would fly into KL (peninsular Malaysia),Kuching (Sarawak)or Kota Kinabalu (Sabah),but there are also other options.Depends where you are flying from too ;-)
Sheida, I am there for 2 weeks early Nov and was told I'm putting too much strain on myself. I'm doing 4 destinations and it already feels rushed.
One thing I learnt at my expense, try and think through the number of days you want to spend in each destination. A Malaysian colleague advised me to spend 1.5/ 2 days in each of Kuching, KL, Melaka, and Penang which I booked booked on that basis to then discover, for instance, that you need at least 2.5/ 3 days in Kuching/ Sarawak if you want to do a couple of activities.
It depends...
Kuching is a "big" place, because it has a large hinterland with lots of things to see and do. You can easily spend an entire week in the Kuching area.
KL is not too terribly interesting, so you can just spend two days there (or even cut it to one). Melaka can be done as an overnight trip from KL (leave KL in the morning by bus, return to KL the next day), which allows you to see all main sights.
Pinang is again an a bit bigger place, for which you can plan 2-3 days.
You can easily do much more than four destinations in two weeks, but it all depends on your style of travel and what kind of travel speed you feel comfortable with. I like to be in a different place every day, other people like to spend several days in the same place.
