Hi all
Does anyone have any experience booking accommodation at the Lankayan Island Dive resort. I went to www.sepilok.com where I went through their online booking process but there was no sign of how to make a payment. I received an automated email which included details of how to pay which was either by bank transfer (made payable to LANKAYAN ISLAND DIVE RESORT SDN. BHD) or, by "filling in the attached form" you could pay with a credit card. There was no attached form and having asked for one, they have come back with various seemingly unnecessary questions like "how many times visited the island".
Meanwhile my boyfriend sent his own request in to what he thinks is the resort (not sure how he found it) but is getting email responses back from a feltricia.adh@gmail.com and lankayan.adh@gmail.com(strange email address and different to the one above I dealt with!) saying he can pay by credit card, bank transfer or paypal (there was no mention of payapal to me from my dealings with them). Bank transfers should be made to Asia Dive Holidays Sdn. Bhd (again different to me) and they are asking for a photocopy of a passport and a photocopy of his credit card.
We're both thinking this is all smelling a bit fishy as there's a lot of conflicting information and the names are different and not sure if one or both are bogus and dodginess aside, this is the most difficult process I've ever been through to book some accommodation.
