Hey forum,

We will be arriving in Kuala Lumpur late december and have a few questions:

how long does it take to get from Kuala Lumpur City Center to the International Airport? By Taxi and Metro?
we will be leaving the country on Jan 1st, early morning (6:45 am), so we are seeking advice whether we should or not book a taxi or transfer, or, could we go by metro at this time/date of the year?

we will need to leave 1 bag in the airport and get it back 2 weeks later. We'll fly out with Air Asia and I believe that is KLIA 2. We will fly back with Malaysia Airlines (which I believe lands at KLIA), BUT we will leave Malaysia with another company (Turkish) which means we will have to pass through customs, get luggage from locker/luggage service, check in, and clear customs again. We'll have only 3h to do all that. Do you think it's enough time? Also, does anyone know if you drop the bag in the luggage service at KLIA2 they can take it to a storage in KLIA? Has anyone done that? I read that the company managing the storage system is the same.

Thanks in advance!

By taxi less than one hour, around 40-45 minutes, unless there is traffic jam. But in the past years we've never been stuck in a traffic jam on our way to the airport.

With a 6:45am flight you'll have to be at the airport at 5am or earlier. That would mean that you leave KL at 4am (and you'll need to book a taxi). But I would suggest to spend the night before at the airport.
