Kapas or Perhentian

I lived in Malaysia in the late 90s and loved heading to Kapas and Perhentians for the weekends . Now I am returning and concerned that my old haunts are not as good as they use to be( i know they never are) . Can someone recommend a quiet beach and place to stay on one of the islands? We want to step off the balconey and on to the beach ....Any lead or advice will eb appreciated. Thanks

I would say perhentian too and you can try bubu long beach resort ... quite nice and not very expensive place.

Kapas is a bit too near the mainland and therefore the water and snorkelling is not as great as perhentian.
