Hi there,

I'm planning a trip with my husband for February next year and we want to take the trek from Bario to Ba'kelalan. I have had difficulties finding up to date info about this. So, a couple questions...

  1. Will it be ok to arrive in Bario in the morning and expect to find a guide to start the trek the next day?
  2. Can anyone recommend a local guide?

Thanks
Bronni

I've been there in 2003 and back then it wasn't a problem finding a local guide:

Hi alfredm,
Yes we have talked via pm but I was hoping to hear from someone who has been a little more recently. I am only going to have very limited time there and as long as I can find a guide to start the next day, it should all work out ok.
