Bus from KL Airport to Melacca

another way is
take a klia express to kl central that cost 35 ringgit then take a taxi pudu raya that cost below 10 ringgit. From pudu raya, take a express bus price between 8 to 12 ringgit
or
go to budget airline terminal, take a bus to kuala lumpur that cost 8 ringgit ..from pudu raya, take a express bus price between 8 to 12 ringgit

No need to go up to Kuala Lumpur.

Catch commuter bus from KLIA bus station to Nilai train station, costs 2.50MYR takes 30 mins.

Then KTM Kommuter train 3 stations south to Seremban, costs 2.30MYR, takes about 10 mins, then walk to the bus station (5 min. walk).

Catch aircon bus direct to Melacca, costs 5.30MYR, takes 90 mins. Buses dep every half hour from 6.30 am till 7.30pm.

All up will take you about 3 to 3.5 hours.

Thanks very much for advice. VillianChaser - do we need reservations (2 people) or should we be able to get seats on the aircon bus from Seremban to Melacca even if we have to wait an hour or two?

You should have no problem getting on the next bus leaving or the one after, there's one about every half hour.
PS. The train trip bit takes 21mins not 10 as I said above.
