The day after tomorrow i want to cross the border in tawau to Kalimantan. i already organised the indonesian Visa and Foun the Ferry terminal. i want to take a ferry to tarakan. Who can tell me how i can continue from there, because my real destination is Sulawesi. Ferry or flight??What is ossible from there???How is travelling in Kalimantan and sulawesi?Hard to organize?Who knows a good diving school on Bunaken?/What other highlights are there to see??

Thanx for your help

Two bi-weekly Pelni ferrys to Pali-Pali from Tarakan (roughly one per week). Also a ferry that goes to Banjermassin and then to Macassar...also bi-weekly. So you may have to wait 4 days or a week. There are also private fast ferries. probably daily. But getting from Pali-Pali to Bunaden is quite a slog. Maybe better to go to the next ferry point, or to Makassar and fly to the north.
