what you do in malaysia with 14 days depends on when you go there, on your interests, on what you are looking for, on your budget etc.

kl is great for food, for shopping, for a mix of cultures etc. and i would spend at least 3 days there. i also like georgetown on penang a lot, and that would be my main "must see" place for malaysia. other than that, depends on what you are looking for.

Hi Nathalie2

Yes, I know. Its a bit hard to say, we have 2 mounth of traveling before we will hit KL. That also why its a bit difficult to say, what we really wanna see, depens on what we will expirence in the other countryes.

I was thinking abou something like this:
KL - Cameron highlands - Taman Negara - Perhentian - back to KL?

I read about Georgetown, it should be great to.. but at bit complicated to fit Taman Negara, is that right?

Malaysian Borneo is also very interesting and is only a short flight away:

You could fly to Kuching and spend a week in the area (plenty to see).

For me, the best part of Malaysia is George Town in Penang. I used to eat six meals a day when I visited, just to sample as many different types of food as possible.

Hi Aibuwan & Namaste,

Kl and places near to Kuala Lumpur is the best place to visit. You can do shopping, visit great malls, pubs & clubs etc in KL. If you love nature then you have to go places near KL
I was recently visited KL and I book my tours through www.gotourister.com May be you can check there website hope you get to know what to do.

Hi Lonnie!

It depends on season too if you want to hit the beach or islands. I never been to Perhentian but I love Tioman since it is serene and not much of people during that time. Have you consider Sabah? Sipadan Island or Mabul Island can be your choice!

KL is mainly for shopping.
Malacca is a great historical and beautiful place. Leisure too!
Cameron Highlands is great. Be sure to visit during weekend for their night bazaar!
The whole Penang Island is great for food and sight seeing! But be sure you have car with you since the must-see and must-eat are scattered around the place.
