who has the best prices for planes ...one way back to usa...indonesia or thailand

Heading off to Bali tonight, and plan to visit Gunung Bromo and other volcanos. Was planning to take Teva sandals and thick socks for the cold at Bromo. Is that enough or should I take tennis shoes or hiking boots? Space and weight are obvious issues.....

I NEED INFORMATION ABOUT FLIGHTS FROM FLORES TO JAVA. ARE THERE ANY DIRECT OR "STOP AND GO" FLIGHT FROM FLORES (FROM WHICH PLACES?) TO JAVA (JAKARTA OR YOGYAKARTA) AT THE END OF SEPTEMBER?
AT THE END OF SEPTEMBER I WILL BE IN FLORES AND I'LL HAVE TO COME BACK TO JAVA IN A FAST WAY.

I'm going to Bali in Febuary (7th trip) & was wondering if there were any places to store surfboards long term? It's been a while since my last trip but friends used to leave them out in warungs at Ulu's, not sure how safe this is anymore.

In December we are doing our third trip to Indonesia. We got the tickets to Bali where we are going to stay for 2 weeks which leaves us with 2 and a half weeks and a broad range of possible places to see. In the past years we have visited Sulawesi and Nusa Tenggara from Flores to Bali. This time we are choosing between Kalimantan, Java, N/S Sulawesi or possibly one of the more remote Nusa Tenggara Timur islands. My problems are that Kalimantan seems to be very expensive and Java overpopulated. I…

I can't seem to find any info on this so I'm wondering if anyone can help me on this:

Is there a direct flight from Bali to Sorong? If yes, which airlines (and websites)?
If flying to Sorong from Bali is a bad idea, is the next best choice flying from Jakarta to Sorong?

Basically, I'm flying from Hong Kong to Indonesia and I'm debating if I should go to Sorong via Bali or Jakarta.

While this might not be an issue for most backpackers... I would like to post this question to the locals: I'm of Chinese descent, so is it safe for me travel to Indonesia? Solo? Or would it be a better idea to stay away?
